Your Checklist for Early Pregnancy Signs
Your Checklist for Early Pregnancy Signs
Just as each woman is an individual, each pregnancy can also have individual symptoms. There are early common symptom signs to look for while determining your own pregnancy status. However, please keep in mind that even your own symptoms can vary from pregnancy to pregnancy.
Typical symptoms of early pregnancy often mirror pre-menstrual or menstrual cycles. However, pregnancy symptoms can be noted by altered timing, frequency and intensity.
Just as during pre-menstrual or menstrual cycles, you will experience both mental and physical changes. You may also experience one or all of the symptoms listed below. However, the order in which each symptom is listed may vary from pregnancy to pregnancy and/or woman to woman.
Again, early pregnancy symptoms reflect pre-menstrual and menstrual cycles and me be subtle. If you notice any of the listed early signs of pregnancy, listed below, visit your Dr. or buy a Home Pregnancy Test.
Signs of Early pregnancy: #1
Missed Period
While a missed menstrual Cycle is the tell tale sign of early pregnancy, missing a period can also be due to a number of factors and conditions.
Pregnancy is the most common cause of a missed period. However, While a missed menstrual Cycle is the tell tale sign of early pregnancy, missing a period can also be due to a number of factors and conditions.
If you feel you may be pregnant, treat yourself as if you are. Use a home pregnancy test as the first step to finding out, and then visit your DR.
Signs of Early pregnancy: #2
Just “Feeling” Pregnant
This symptom sign of early pregnancy symptoms is truly more common then not. Many women suspect pregnancy even before missing a period. I must say, what an interesting notion it is, to have an intuitive feeling about your own body. Some woman even have dreams a week or so before their period is due.
Or you may just feel a mental or physical difference; moody, tired, lightheaded or even sick to your stomach. In fact, if you do find yourself pregnant, you may look back and say to yourself with a sudden awakening “now I know why my husband agitated me so much”.
Signs of Early pregnancy: #3
Breast Tenderness
Another early sign of pregnancy are changes to the breasts. Breast changes include tenderness, fullness, sensitivity to touch, change in the breast size, and darkening within the areola.
An increasing level of hormones is the chief cause of this. Some have described the soreness as feeling like how your breasts feel just prior to your period–but much more extreme. Most moms find that this discomfort diminishes quite a bit when you start into the second trimester, and as your body starts adjusting to the changees in your hormones.
Signs of Early pregnancy: #4
Fatigue
Another one of the early pregnancy concerns is fatigue and exhaustion. This is especially common in the first trimester of the pregnancy. Being pregnant puts a strain on your entire body, which can make you awfully tired.
It’s caused by hormonal changes, in particular, a dramatic rise in progesterone, and it is the major cause of sluggishness.
So, besides tossing and turning, thinking of your lack of sleep, and counting down the minutes until your alarm clock goes off, get up and watch TV, read a book, listen to music, or do some other activity you enjoy. Eventually, you’ll probably get back to sleep. And if possible, take short naps (30 to 60 minutes) during the day to make up for lost sleep.
